Fablekin Privacy Policy
Effective: October 20, 2026 · Updated: October 21, 2026
This policy covers Fablekin: Monster Capture & Battle RPG, including its web game and locally bundled Chrome, Android and iPhone editions.
Your game data stays on your device
Fablekin processes and stores game data locally to provide the game and continue your progress. This includes your chronicle, collected creatures and their nicknames, party, battle and adventure progress, inventory, unlocks and preferences. The extension uses its own browser storage; mobile editions use their local app storage.
You do not need an account. There is no cloud-save service or automatic synchronization between installations. The game does not upload your saves, nicknames, gameplay activity or feedback to Unit09 or another server. It includes no advertising, remote analytics, tracking across websites, automatic crash-report submission, purchases or subscriptions.
Optional local play-test reports
If you choose Options & save → Help test Fablekin → Start local play test, the game records a bounded local report of in-game menu action labels, progress milestones and timing. Ratings and written feedback you choose to enter are stored with that report. Recording begins only after you start it. You can stop recording or delete the report in the same panel.
The recorder does not log keystrokes, cursor movements, other websites or the contents of your saved chronicle. Reports are not sent automatically. Optional notes and creature nicknames are freeform text; avoid entering personal information that you would not want included if you later export and share a file.
Graphics diagnostics
The optional graphics report contains local renderer, viewport and browser information to help describe a graphics problem. It stays local unless you request an export and then choose to share that file yourself. The game does not submit diagnostics automatically.
Save import, export and sharing
Import reads only the save file you select and uses the game's validation and replacement confirmation. Export writes a file you request. A full save backup contains game progress and creature nicknames; play-test and diagnostic exports contain the information described above. These are ordinary files, so review them before sharing.
On mobile, a system file picker or share sheet handles your export request. You choose the destination or recipient. On iPhone, an exported backup is also kept in Files → On My iPhone → Fablekin. Downloaded, exported or shared copies remain outside the game's storage until you delete them separately. Fablekin does not browse unrelated files on your device.
Chrome extension permissions and offline play
The Chrome extension bundles its game code, artwork, fonts and sound generation for offline play. It requests no Chrome permissions, optional permissions or website access, includes no content scripts, and does not read browsing history or the contents of other websites. Clicking its toolbar icon opens or focuses its own game tab.
Local game data is used only for the game and its disclosed, optional local report features, consistent with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy and its Limited Use requirements. Fablekin does not sell game data or use it for advertising.
Web hosting and app stores
The web edition downloads its game files from Firebase Hosting. Loading this policy or the hosted game makes normal network requests; Google processes network information such as your IP address and requested files to deliver the site under its own privacy policy. The locally bundled extension and mobile editions do not need to load the hosted game to play.
Chrome Web Store, Google Play, Apple and operating-system services may independently process installation, update, diagnostic or store-account information under their own policies. Those services do not provide Unit09 with your locally saved chronicle.
Retention, deletion and moving progress
Local data remains until you replace or delete it or clear the installation's storage. Menu → More adventures & settings → Options & save contains the confirmed Start a new chronicle option to replace game progress, and import/export controls to move it. The optional play-test report has separate stop and delete controls.
Clearing the relevant browser or app storage or uninstalling the extension or app can remove its local progress and settings. Keep an exported backup first if you want to retain them. The developer has no remote save copy to restore. Website addresses, browser profiles and app installations have separate saves.
Support and privacy questions
Contact will@unit09.app or visit Fablekin help. Sending an email shares your email address and the information you choose to include with the support recipient and your email service. The game does not send support requests or attach reports or saves automatically.
Changes to this policy
If a future release changes how Fablekin handles data, this page and its updated date will be revised to describe that behavior.
